CBD & PCR Hemp Oil Education* - PCR (Phyto-Cannabinoid Rich) Hemp Oil Education*

WHAT IS CBD?

CBD, also known as CBD PCR (Phyto-Cannabinoid Rich) Hemp Oil, contains essential therapeutic properties, including over 200+ known naturally occurring plant compounds, including minor cannabinoids such as CBC, CBN, CBG, CBDv, and CBL.

One of the many commonly known molecules found in the hemp plant is referred to as CBD, but it's actually part of a collection of CBD's, known as cannabinoids.

Not all CBD oils and products are created equal. Most CBD oils on the market are NOT naturally occurring NOR are they truly full spectrum CBD, because they contain only CBD isolates or have undergone a form of chemical synthesis that requires lab manipulation to deliver a "full spectrum" CBD product.

In order to be considered a truly full spectrum CBD oil, it must contain all naturally occurring therapeutic parts of the plant, and cannot be synthesized, cannot use post C02 extraction lab manipulation to rebuild cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and antioxidants, nor can it be comprised of only CBD isolate strains.

This means that over 95% of the oils on the market do NOT meet full spectrum CBD criteria. Petabis Organics CBD oils and CBD products are TOTAL & TRUE FULL SEPCTRUM, naturally occurring, USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) CERTIFIED ORGANIC, NOP (National Organic Program) and HUMAN GRADE.

It has been suggested that some medical conditions and diseases may occur when the animal Endocannabinoid System faces a deficiency, which in part helps explains why mammals typically feel so much better when they use a CBD product, because for the first time their Endocannabinoid System is being nourished both nutritionally and phytochemically.

The Endocannabinoid System helps support your pet’s biochemical communication system, which regulates all animal body systems, as well as your pet’s individual biochemistry, because all animals are different, as well as your pet's natural life processes.

Endocannabiniod System of dogs Endocannabinoid System of cats dog cbd cat cbd pet cbd

The Endocannabinoid System contains receptors which respond to nutritional CBD and other cannabinoids. CBD PCR Hemp Oil receptors act as binding sites for these endogenous cannabinoids in the body. When cannabinoids bind to the receptors (CB1 and CB2 receptors) they act to help change the way the body functions in a manner that encourages body system balance, known as homeostasis. Homeostasis is vital as it's one of the primary gatekeepers for supporting wellness as well as potentially preventing disease. .

When CBD PCR Hemp Oil is ingested, the receptors migrate the CBD oil to CB1 and CB2 receptors and bind them intuitively in the brain and rest of the animal body systems, resulting in differing potential health benefits. Studies have also shown that there are endogenous cannabinoids that occur naturally in the mammalian brain and body for the specific purpose of cannabinoid regulation. Interesting! So all mammals NEED CBD to be balanced.

How Is The Hemp Plant Cultivated?

We use organic permaculture farming practices and adhere to rigorous USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and NOP (National Organic Program) standards. We are able to cultivate year round using both green house and field grown hemp varietals, in a near zero energy environment. We utilize the positive relationship between animals, plants and humans to achieve the highest quality  and sustainability in harvesting.

A permaculture platform  is a system that is designed to work with nature to create a truly sustainable and self-sufficient ecosystem. Our manufacturing process operates within a zero waste environment!

We are the only fully USDA Certified Organic CBD Hemp farm in the state of CO to have 100% organic cultivation, harvesting and manufacturing processes.

Petabis Organics CBD PCR (Phyto-Cannabinoid Rich) Hemp products are cultivated using a patented water vapor extraction method and permaculture growing platform.

Are All CBD Oils The Same?

Not all CBD oils are created equal. Our CBD PCR Hemp Oil is NOT derived from isolates, but rather the full spectrum, naturally occurring extract of the plant.

We utilize a patented extraction method that allows us to deliver over 100 known cannabinoids, 30 flavonoids and a 2.49% terpene count-the highest in the world, ensuring you are buying the purest, consistent, most concentrated and nutrient dense, natural phytochemical rich CBD oil for your pets. We can prove it! We publish our independent extraction results, which clearly proves how our oils are the most nutrient dense and consistently concentrated oils. See more below.

The other problem most oils have is that they are C02 extracted. During C02 extraction, the plant materials are exposed to high heat levels to separate the CBD oil, as well as ETHANOL, butane, pentane or hexane, which are all carginogenic at high heat levels.

In order to activate or decarboxylate the oil using C02 extraction, the CBD oil must be heated a second time, and plants are exposed a second time to high levels of heat up to 2 additional hours to activate the oil. During that time, the delicate, beneficial terpenes and flavonoids, as well as most cannabinoids, are burned out of the plant materials. But not with Petabis Organics CBD Full Spectrum Oils!

How Is Our CBD PCR Hemp Oil Extracted?

We extract our CBD oils and all CBD products using a unique patented Water Vapor Extraction process.

Vapor Distilled cannabis oils are made using a patented, revolutionary thermal extraction process using a:

  • Heated air & proprietary condensation method which selectively vaporizes, instantly decarbs cannabinol, removes THC & distills the active compounds of the plant
  • Patented water vapor extraction method processes in seconds instead of minutes or hours & instantly activates oil when extracted, preserving beneficial terpenes, flavonoids & cannabinoid strains profiles intact and in their natural state
  • Plant & oil materials are separated as vapor is condensed, creating a consistent concentrated CBD PCR hemp oil extract
  • CBD is ONE type of a cannabinoid
  • Our oils have the highest extract terpene and extract cannabinoid count on the planet (2.49% terpene count with over 30 terpenes and 100+ cannabinoids)
  • Our Full Spectrum Cannabinoid profile (many types of cannabinoids) is critical because a variety of cannabinoids (not just CBD) and terpenes are both needed to produce the "entourage effect", the potential therapeutic actions which may positively help address your pet's conditional needs such as joint pain and anxiety, but also may have therapeutic, healing properties.
  • CBD Isolates do not contain the same potential therapeutics as well as do not contain beneficial terpenes which are destroyed when heated for long periods of time
  • OUR OILS TASTE GREAT! Our whole flower truly full spectrum CBD Oil extract produces a CLEAR OIL with a nutty, buttery taste because the bitter chlorophylls and bitter carbonic acid flavors are removed, leaving a clear, sweet smelling oil that has not been lab manipulated!
  • Our Full Spectrum CBD PCR oils are naturally extracted without the use of harmful solvents, chemicals or other adulterants - only heated air contacts the plant material for 2 seconds!
  • Our ultra-pure, activated CBD cannabis extract has stronger effects than oil produced with other extraction processes and should be noticeable with use

What Are Adaptogens?

CBD is included in a specialized category of plants referred to as adaptogens. An adaptogen exerts what we call the "3 R Function" or read, repair and restore.

In the simplest of terms, adaptogens carry out  a Read function, (identify dysfunction), a Repair function (nutritionally and phytochemically corrective action) and a Restore function (encourage balanced immunity and proper cellular function).

An adaptogen can exert an effect on the body to help identify deficiency or dysfunction, help repair phytochemically and nutritionally and then help restore balance, also known as homeostasis.

An adaptogen helps build resistance naturally to stress, foreign invaders such as pathogens and allergens, related to physical, chemical and biological factors, across varying body systems.

Adaptogens function as auto-sensing therapeutics, and are an invaluable tool for assisting health and wellness not only when conditions are known, but as well as when a condition is idiopathic, of unknown.

  • Adaptogens are a rare class of highly specialized plants and marine extracts that are alterative, in that they exert a desired action on the animal body but they are also tonic in function, in that they tone and strengthen all body systems. Adaptogens are naturally coded plants and marine compounds which help identify all types of distress and imbalance in the animal body systems and then work to help nutritionally and phytochemically to help correct imbalance and restore health.

There are two classes of adaptogens, primary first class and secondary class. Primary first class adaptogens are the most dynamic in terms of delivering nutritional and positive, alterative actions on the body and are recognized globally as some of the most important natural health and healing tools. Adaptogen plants and marine products have been used in traditional medical systems for over 4000 years!

Are There Any Contraindications with CBD?

CBD Hemp Oil impacts separate biochemical pathways (the Endocannabinoid System) and has been determined that it can be used alongside current medications safely. Recent studies suggest CBD oil may potentiate some heart medications and may be cautioned for use with some heart medications. It can also affect the rate at which the liver breaks down heart and other medications, so please use CBD under the guidance of a professional veterinarian.

There Is A Difference Between CBD PCR Hemp Oil and Hemp Hearts

Hemp, also called industrial hemp, refers to the product of the cannabis plant containing a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration (THC) of no more than .3 % on a dry weight basis.

Hemp is one of the oldest domesticated crops known to man.  It is a hearty plant and grows quickly in diverse soil conditions. Cultivation of hemp for industrial purposes has been done by many civilizations for over 12,000 years.  It is used to make over 25,000 consumer products and has various eco -friendly applications including clothing, rope, canvas, paper, biodegradable plastics, paint, insulation, biofuel, and food.

What Are Hemp Hearts?  Petabis Organics Hemp Heart dog treats dog hemp dog hemp treats dog hemp snacks

Hemp hearts are shelled and expeller pressed hemp seeds. Hemp Hearts are a nutritional power house as a complete protein source and do NOT contain CBD PCR Phyto-Cannabinoid Rich Hemp Oil or THC.

Hemp Hearts do contain essential fatty acids (Omega-3 and Omega -6), amino acid, antioxidants and are a great source of soluble fiber. Additionally, they are packed with vitamins and minerals including vitamins A ,B1, B2,E, plus minerals, calcium and iron.

The History of The Hemp Plant

8,000 B.C. Hemp became the first agricultural crop.  Farmers recognized the benefits of hemp cultivation for their fields: fallen leaves created fertilized and replenished the nitrogen, nutrients and oxygen, allowing farmers to rotate other crops.  Hemp was utilized for tool-making, equipment and harvested for fiber.

6,000 B.C. Chinese used the hemp stalks for building materials, clothing, shoes and food, discovering that hemp seed is high in protein, vitamins, and essential fatty and amino acids.

100 B.C. Hemp was used to create paper in China.  Hemp paper was found to be more durable than papyrus.

100 AD: Descriptions found in the world’s oldest pharmacopoeia “Pen Ts'ao Ching” recognize the healing qualities of hemp, using hemp seed oil to treat pain, skin irritation, rheumatic pain, intestinal constipation, disorders of the female reproductive system, and malaria.

1500: Hemp was being cultivated in England.  King Henry VIII fined his constituents if they did not grow hemp.  Hemp became the primary source of clothing material.

1616: Hemp was cultivated by North American settlers in Jamestown, for clothing, building materials, sails, and weapons.

1619: The Virginia Assembly required all citizens to grow hemp.

1800: Most of the newly formed United States were cultivating industrial hemp on large scales. American society became aware of the industrial and medicinal uses of hemp.

1851: The United States Dispensatory, a less restrictive medical guide that included drugs not recognized in the pharmacopoeia, included hemp extract and medical cannabis.

1930: The Federal Bureau of Narcotics was created and Henry Anslinger was appointed to lead the department.

1937: The Marijuana Tax Act federally outlawed the use and non-industrial cultivation of the cannabis plant in America, without deferentially the clear differences between hemp and marijuana.

1942: The United States Department of Agriculture encouraged American farmers to plant cannabis for hemp cultivation for the war effort.  The government distributed seeds and offered draft deferments to farmers who produced the crops. By 1943 farmers had cultivated nearly 400,000 acres of hemp.

1970: The industrial cultivation of hemp was banned under the Controlled Substances Act as a Schedule I drug.

2014: President Obama signed the U.S. Farm Bill into law allowing for the cultivation of hemp.  The Bill allows state departments of agriculture and institutions of higher education to introduce industrial hemp cultivation programs.

Present:

Legislation is constantly being introduced in various states to allow and promote the cultivation of industrial hemp.
